HPAO Student Ambassadors are undergraduates pursuing health professions, including Medicine, Dentistry, Optometry, Podiatry, and Allied Health fields. They:
- Communicate with students about important HPAO initiatives, goals, and programs
- Advise HPAO staff on issues pertinent to the undergraduate experience of pre-health students
- Represent the University of Maryland student body on matters of particular interest or concern to pre-health students
- Contribute to the advancement of the HPAO office and projects
- Organize events, communications, and activities to foster a spirit of community and identity among pre-health students
