Jeff joined the Health Professions Advising Office in 2023 and is originally from Omaha, Nebraska. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education from the University of Nebraska, and also earned his Master’s degree in Higher Education Administration from the University of Nebraska.

He has worked in higher education for over a decade. He has previously worked at the University of Nebraska, serving first-generation and Pell-eligible students in a college access and college retention program, and at Metropolitan Community College in Omaha, Nebraska, serving underrepresented students in the health professions. He has a passion for helping students achieve their goals while making sure systems & structures are equitable and inclusive. His hobbies include reading, playing music and attending concerts, and volunteering for political campaigns.

Jeff is a believer in Appreciative Advising, which centers each students’ individual journey, career goals, and academic needs. This student-first approach helps him best serve students by focusing on listening and developing strong relationships with the people he serves.
