Note: Sophomore, Junior, and Senior students interested in medicine, dental, optometry, and podiatry who have not been to pre-health advising, must also complete the intro workshop prior to scheduling an appointment with an adviser.

Students who come to walk-ins cannot also be holding an advising time on appointment-plus; coming to walk-ins will result in your existing appointment being canceled.

Regular appointments resume the second week of classes. There are times available now for all HPAO advisors. Please be sure to fill out an Advising Form before you come to the office.
Intro to Pre-Medicine/Dentistry Workshops
This introductory workshop is intended for anyone starting out on their journey toward Medical/Dental/Optometry/Podiatry school. Freshman/Sophomore students are highly recommended to attend this workshop prior to one-on-one advising with a pre-health advisor. Confirmation and room location will be emailed to registered students at least one day prior to the session. To register, click Book Now below. Please be sure to fill out an Advising Form and bring it with you to the session.
Sophomore and JR/SR Workshops
These workshops are posted on our Calendar of Events. Students do NOT pre-register for these.
NOTE: Advising services are strictly for undergraduates, alumni, and Science in the Evening students at the University of Maryland, College Park. Post-bacc students who are not in SIE and graduate students who are not completing their basic sciences at Maryland are welcome to attend our public information sessions, but are not eligible for one-on-one advising or a Committee Letter.
